Our nation’s children deserve the opportunity to pursue physical fitness goals that help improve their overall wellbeing. Yet drastic underfunding of physical fitness programs in schools across the nation robs them of that chance, creating more overweight kids.
Please act on behalf of our kids – before they become the first generation of adults to be less healthy than their parents.
With a gift of $50, you can sponsor a child through the entire ING Run For Something Better program. Your gift will go to work enabling a child to start running and start fighting childhood obesity! With your support, a child can go through the running fitness program and proudly participate in a thrilling race day event, in front of cheering crowd of friends, family and onlookers.
Give children the “wings” to “fly”.
With a gift of $10 or more, you’ll receive your own set of orange laces. Please wear them proudly to show you are “tied” to supporting kids’ fitness! And when you wear them, you help spread awareness of a serious problem – childhood obesity – and one nonprofit organization’s solution, making fitness available and exciting.
Please see the ING Foundation annual report for details on how wisely your donation dollars are spent.
You can become a champion for kids’ fitness and take part in a kids non profit initiative. There are two ways to fundraise to help children exercise. You can fundraise for a race you’re participating in. Or, even if you can’t be there, you can support kids by being a virtual fundraiser.
It’s easy, because we provide you with everything you need to raise money for school-based running programs.
And you’ll get your own:
Plus, fitness gear rewards are given to high-level fundraisers.
Become a champion for kids’ fitness today!
We’re fortunate to partner with local community organizations that help make race day possible. But we can always use more volunteers at these events.
Consider volunteering. You’ll be glad you did. Imagine your own pride as a volunteer when you get to put a medal around a child’s neck, acknowledging their great accomplishment and witnessing their smiles of success.
